In this video, we’re going to learn how to take an inside set off of a SAORI loom. Inside sets are one of the things that really help differentiate SAORI looms from any other loom. You can have a warp in progress, take it off your loom, and put another completely different project on, while still preserving your previous project. With the correct setup, it’s very easy to tie up to your inside set and just take it completely off your loom. And luckily for you, that’s what we’re going to be demonstrating in this video!

Why a Members Only Area?
During my time in Japan at SAORINOMORI, I’ve had several discussions with Akiko and Kenzo about sharing SAORI techniques over the internet. Their feeling is that the information shared via the internet needs to be done in a way that is respectful to other studios. On the one hand, the internet can be a great platform for sharing information and engaging students. But on the other hand, materials posted by one teacher can keep a student from visiting a studio close to them.
So the compromise has been to put videos and tutorials behind a password-protected wall in a “members only” section of our website. All are welcomed to join, of course! To access our video and PDF tutorials, please log in or sign up below.
Thank you! I’ve never had to remove my inside set with a project already on the loom. I’m taking my loom to an event for the guests to weave a project.
The details and clarity of your instructions are A+++.
Thank you so much.
