Small cross body purse
Designed to hold a cellphone and wallet. And maybe a pen.
Dina’s tote bag
This wonderful tote is fully lined and features both a zippered pocket and a drop-in pocket. This was made at a Bag Workshop held at the studio.
Students in the Bag Workshop bring their own hand-woven cloth and some commercial cloth for the lining, and they learn to make totally awesome bags based on the size of their cloth!
Debbie’s Red Tote
I love everything about this tote! The back story: two friends scheduled a multi-day intensive and as a part of it asked for a Bag Workshop. Perfect reminder of a great weekend!
Cross body bag with flap closure
Features hand-woven and commercial-woven cloth to make the outer shell.
Gina’s Awesome Tote
Gina wove the cloth & made the tote.
Fun and Funky Hat in Black
I love making hats! Hiromi taught me several nifty patterns on one of my trips to Japan. These are so much fun to make, and I teach three of them in the Hats Workshop.
Fun and Funky Hat in Red
My chiropractor wanted a hat. So I made this one for him.
Draped Shrug (Front)
This was draped with consultation from Masako Kida at SAORInoMori
Draped Shrug (Back)
I love this piece because there is SO much happening in the cloth.
Deep rich fall colors, the tunic also features handspun yarn by Esther Rodgers, Denise, and others.
Silk warp. Mushishi (by Plymouth) weft.
Handkerchief hem skirt made from two different lengths of cloth: one white warp, one black warp. Both used the same seven colorways of Noro yarn.
The remnants of a length of cloth from organic cotton ready-made warp. Fun cotton lace and high-low hem.
Orange Vest (Front)
The warp was a white cotton ready-made. The weft was predominately Bri-Aly cotton (the ombre orange) with bits of other cotton, Tencel, fun-fur, etc.
Orange Vest (Back)
The green rope accent serves a function to keep the vest on the shoulders. The color progression of the Bri-Aly threads is kept across the back and added detail and room is achieved with the box pleats.
Evidence of my insanity!
Making designs out of the fringe and hand-sewing it in place.
